    1. History

    • Established on August 18, 1977, the department is a leading unit in integrating traditional and modern medicine. It serves as a training and research site for students from Hanoi Medical University and the Vietnam University of Traditional Medicine. The department manages a processing and production area for herbal medicines, providing trusted products such as "Dưỡng tâm bổ não" (brain circulation), "Hương sa kiện tràng hoàn" (digestive health), and "Viên khớp" (joint health).

    2.1. Functions
    As a specialized unit within a major general hospital, the department serves as a bridge between Modern Medicine and Traditional Medicine. It strictly adheres to the technical standards of the Traditional Medicine Administration – Ministry of Health to build a model Traditional Medicine unit.

    • Integrated Diagnosis and Treatment: Combines Eastern and Western medicine, collaborating with clinical, laboratory, and imaging departments to enhance diagnostic and therapeutic outcomes.
    • Research and Application: Develops and applies scientific advancements to maximize the strengths of traditional medicine.
    • Direction of Line: Provides professional technical guidance to lower-level medical facilities.
