1. History
- The Administration Department was established in 1955 to implement logistical tasks, ensuring that the hospital's operations run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. The current organizational structure consists of 01 Head of Department, 03 Deputy Heads of Department, and a dedicated team of 131 officials and employees divided into 03 specialized working groups.
2. Functions and Tasks
The Administration Department is a united and strong collective that performs various vital tasks, contributing to the sustainable development of the Hospital. The core activities of the department cover multiple fields, ensuring the material foundation and an ideal working environment for the entire hospital. The basic functions are clearly reflected through the following key tasks:
- Strategic Advising and Future Planning: Advising the Board of Directors on urban planning and developing long-term and short-term strategic plans. From infrastructure development and basic construction to administration and governance, all plans are developed with a long-term vision to ensure Bach Mai Hospital is constantly modernized to meet the increasing healthcare needs of the people.
- Comprehensive Management of Infrastructure and Public Assets: The department is responsible for the effective management of all infrastructure and public assets. This includes buildings, technical systems, warehouses, and the specialized fleet of vehicles, all of which are managed, maintained, and operated scientifically. The department ensures that all facilities and general working conditions are in the best state, creating a professional, safe, and convenient environment for staff and patients.
- Focal Point for Investment, Construction, and Infrastructure Maintenance Projects: The Administration Department is the key unit in implementing investment, renovation, and maintenance projects for the hospital's facilities. This task requires high professionalism and close supervision to ensure projects are executed on schedule, with quality and efficiency, contributing to the sustainable upgrade and expansion of the Hospital.
- Transparent and Efficient Bidding and Procurement: Serving as the advisor and directly implementing bidding and procurement in the field of administration and management. The department strictly complies with legal regulations. This process is conducted openly and transparently, ensuring the Hospital procures equipment, supplies, and services of the highest quality at the most reasonable costs.
- Ensuring Seamless and Timely Transportation: The electric vehicle patient transport system is a vital link in daily operations. The department organizes and manages the operation of ambulances to meet emergency requirements and timely patient transport, ensuring absolute continuity, speed, and safety.
- Maintaining Order, Security, and Hospital Safety: A safe environment is a prerequisite for medical examination and treatment. The department is the core unit for implementing security tasks, ensuring order 24/7. Additionally, other important tasks such as fire prevention and fighting, civil defense, and national defense are prioritized, creating a solid "safety perimeter" for the entire hospital.
