1. History and Development
- Established in 1982, the Bach Mai Rehabilitation Centre has evolved from a small Physical Therapy unit into a leading national facility. In 2005, it was officially designated as a "Centre" by the Ministry of Health. Today, it serves as the top-tier referral center for rehabilitation in Vietnam, operating with 104 inpatient beds and managing thousands of outpatient visits annually.
- The Centre follows the international "Rehabilitation Team" model, integrating various specialists including Rehabilitation Physicians, Nurses, Physiotherapists (PT), Occupational Therapists (OT), Speech and Language Therapists (SLT), and Orthotists/Prosthetists.

3. Advanced Technologies & Techniques
- Urodynamics and Electromyography (EMG): Standardized diagnostic procedures.
- Neuro-interventions: Non-invasive brain stimulation (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation - TMS, tDCS).
- Spasticity Management: Botulinum toxin injections under ultrasound/electrostimulation guidance.
- Biofeedback: Used for treating incontinence, pelvic floor disorders, and swallowing disorders.
- Robotic-Assisted Rehabilitation: Cutting-edge technology for motor recovery.
- Autologous Stem Cell Therapy: Research and application for spinal cord injury patients.

6. Missions & functions
- Clinical Excellence: Providing inpatient, outpatient, and day-care rehabilitation services as a final-tier referral hospital.
- Advisory Role: Consulting for the Ministry of Health on developing the rehabilitation specialty nationwide.
- Education: Training undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as providing continuous medical education (CME) for practitioners.
- Scientific Research: Conducting national and international studies on disability and innovative rehabilitation methods.
- Healthcare Network Support: Directing and supporting rehabilitation services for northern provinces and parts of central Vietnam.
7. Achievements
- Awarded "Excellent Labor Collective" for 10 consecutive years.
- Prime Minister’s Certificate of Merit (2013).
- Numerous Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Health for outstanding medical service and quality management.
