The list of implemented techniques covers almost all fields, from internal medicine, surgery, and intensive care to specialized disciplines, creating a foundation for the hospital to continue developing advanced techniques to better meet the public's medical examination and treatment needs.

Addition of nearly 500 new techniques, with many special techniques officially implemented

According to Decision No. 2120/QD-BYT, the Ministry of Health has approved the addition of 427 medical examination and treatment techniques to the routine technical list of Bach Mai Hospital. These techniques span across many specialties, contributing to improving the quality of diagnosis, treatment, and patient care.

Notably, according to Decision No. 2121/QD-BYT, the Ministry of Health has permitted Bach Mai Hospital to officially implement 50 special-type techniques without having to undergo a pilot phase.

These are all highly specialized techniques with rigorous requirements for professional qualifications, human resources, and equipment, such as: Percutaneous cardiovascular intervention; closure of atrial septal defects, ventricular septal defects, and patent ductus arteriosus using devices; Hybrid surgery for vascular diseases; artificial corneal transplantation; endoscopic submucosal dissection for early-stage gastric cancer; and endoscopic stent placement for the esophagus, stomach, duodenum, colon, and rectum.
